I looked skeptically at my guide but trusted his taste more than the description on the back cover. Consequentially, there is a pattern by which i read peter straub. I first read peter straub’s terrifying ghost story decades ago, and i recently decided to pick it up again to see if my impressions had changed. He’s a big name in horror, but i just hadn’t gotten around to him yet.
