In the context of these general purposes, the humane society of stanislaus county shall engage in activities such as community outreach, education about animal care and welfare, the importance of spay/neuter, sponsoring of spay/neuter clinics, animal housing, adoption placements, financial assistance to low income residents for veterinary care. Our interactive adoption process strives to place animals into permanent, responsible and loving homes. Adoption listings will be updated as animals return to the shelter on november 10. If you are adopting an additional pet, we'll be happy to discuss techniques to help you introduce your new pet to your pets at home under a controlled environment. Our first adoption appointments after that break will be on wednesday, november 11. Our facility which opened its doors to the general public on july 1, 2004 sits on fourteen acres and it is built in the shape of a horseshoe.
