Jesus And Peter On Water. 30 but when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “lord, save me!” 31 immediately jesus reached out his hand and caught him. Jesus made this gift possible for us by his death on the cross in our place.
But when he saw the effects of the wind, he was frightened, and he began to sink, and he cried out, “lord, save me!” Peter jumped out of the boat and began walking on the water toward jesus, but the moment he took his eyes off of jesus, peter saw nothing but the wind and waves, and he started to sink. He and the other disciples had been straining against the waves and wind all night long when jesus appeared to them, walking on the water.
Wanting to prove his courage to jesus, he made an amazing statement:
Always the adventurous disciple, he wanted to show his trust and love for christ in a remarkable way. The lord invites peter to come, and the disciple steps out of the boat. So peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to jesus. Clearly he was no ordinary man;
